The program is about:

  • medium
  • small
  • and very small businesses that are active in the Retail sector and have a physical store, the operation of which has been suspended for at least one day due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The companies are distinguished:

  • In existing ones, as long as they start operating before 01.10.2019
  • Newly incorporated, as long as their start of operation is from 01.10.2019 to 07/11/2020

Conditions for participation in the new ESPA program 2014-2020 “e-retail”

  • Main Activity of Retail Trade (KAD 47), which has been designated as main KAD within the dates recorded above.
  • The operation of the business has been suspended for at least one day since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic on 18.03.2020.
  • IMPORTANT! The Eshop must have been completed, invoiced, paid and sent to the accountant of the respective company for the accounting of the relevant costs from 18.03.2020 until and before the submission of the application.
  • Only one investment proposal can be submitted per A.F.M.
  • In the event that the business has received within a three-year period (current year and two previous financial years) aid not to exceed two hundred thousand euros.

e-retail: But what will businesses get and how can they make use of this grant?

The project budget amounts to €80,000,000 (Public expenditure). Each business will have a total grant of up to €5,000 for the implementation of intangible actions and the acquisition of IT equipment (laptops, monitors, printers, scanners, etc.) in order to develop or upgrade the E-shop.

Eligible expenses are:

  • Design or development or upgrade and management of the online store (eshop)
  • Hosting of the website on a server
  • Purchase of keyboards, monitors, printers, etc.
  • Purchase of Electronic computers

Equipment supply costs are excluded in case of upgrading an existing eshop. The online store should meet some conditions which we will list below:

  • To be compatible on all devices (desktops, mobiles, tablets)
  • Work in two languages
  • Have a shopping cart
  • To have an ordering, warehouse system
  • To host on a server that meets specific security specifications, etc.
